Thanks for the feedback! I just looked up the specs on the Motorhome we are interested in. The GVWR-24,000lbs and GCWR-30,000lbs. We are planning on towing a 4 door Jeep wrangler so it should be within the Motorhomes limits.

Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Love the floor plan and LOVE the bunks.
If (maybe soon) buying a class A, that would be the floor plan. - lonewolf80Explorer IIYep I'll 2,3,4 X's the opinions that you won't have any problems towing your Jeep. 2011 Georgetown with the V10 pulling my wife's RAV4 on a Master Tow dolly without any problems. Worse grade at 9% this summer going to Cooperstown, NY. Held steady at 35-40 mph @ 4200 rpm and the rig was happy, though yes you hear the V10 roaring. My wife and I look at it if we wanted the quiet of a Mercedes or BMW we would've bought one instead of our RV which we love. Enjoy the Tiffin, great RV and RV company!
- dahkotaExplorerA long 8% grade slowed us to about 35MPH. A muddy 12% grade slowed us to 25MPH. Most of the time, we maintain 55-65MPH on highways. We pull a 4K lb. Wrangler with a fully loaded 22K chassis and a V10. We have done Alaska, the Rockies, the Sierras, the Appalachians, and the Cascades.
- Johno02ExplorerBig diesel pushers will blow past you laughing. When you pass back by them with the traffic cop, its your time to laugh! We have the older two valve v-10 (2005), pulling an HHR. Flatlands, don't even know its there. Over Black Mountain in NC, just kept rolling, just chugged over the top with all the trucks. Downhill, watch out for the toad pushing. We recommend toad brakes, but don't have them yet. Have pulled over 60K miles so far.

I just returned from a 2500 mile round trip towing a Suzuki Vitara with my 35' Monarch with V-10. Over sierras, up into Montana, and back. Engine/tranny combo worked flawlessly. I use my tow-haul mode a lot, mainly on the downhill side of a pass. Engine has about 20,000 on it and does not use any oil.
Don't expect to fly up the grades. On most 6% or so grades I'll pull at about 40 mph with the rpms in the high 3,000 area. For smaller hills, I take it out of cruise control otherwise the computer will kick up the rpms to high 4,000s. I will sacrifice some speed in those situations. - mowermechExplorerI have towed the truck in my sig and the car in my sig. (on a dolly) with the coach in my sig.
I have towed across the Continental Divide with the rig several times.
The last trip over the Divide, I was towing an ATV on a small trailer. The coach didn't have any less of a struggle going up the pass with it than it did with the truck!
I have no idea what the truck or the car(with dolly) weighs. - jfskeetExplorerWe have a 2015 35 foot class A and tow a Cr-v and have no issues what so ever. And 3/10 -1/2 mpg different on fuel use, toad versus non toad. I do have a SMI
tow brake controller in toad. - EffyExplorer IIThe engine will be fine, just make sure you do the math to see how much you can tow. You'd be surprised to learn that despite having a 5k hitch, how many MH's can't tow that much due to a smaller chassis with a heavier house leaving your net capacity much lower.
- Dale_TravelingExplorer III pull a CRV and the only performance loss I see is a slight reduction in fuel mileage. The power train of the modern F53 chassis has plenty of power. What will get your attention is when the RPM kicks up into the 4000 range which is where the torque curve peaks. Won't hurt the engine spinning that fast plus the water pump will have a high flow rate to help pull off the additional heat when making a long climb. Your only limitation will be weight. Run the numbers for a coach you are considering to ensure your not overloading the chassis.
