- CA_TravelerExplorer IIICC has a full alignment facility and can do chassis work. They are also well versed on Monacos. By full alignment I mean both axles which for Monacos means cutting and re welding the rear axle. Not every facility has that capability.

I heard that CC is trying to go get back in the RV business in 2016? Anyone have any updated info on this?
As noted in other threads: Winnebago has purchased the Country Coach production facility in Junction City, OR.
The full story, as published in a Winnebago Press Release in RV Daily Report, is linked below.
In a nutshell, Winnebago is moving their Class-A diesel manufacturing to the former Country Coach plant in Junction City, OR.
They (Winnebago) have also purchased property adjacent to the 200,000 sq ft manufacturing facility that they plan to use as a service facility for both Winnebago AND Country Coach motorhomes. They did this largely because they could not keep up with production demands for gas Class-A's in Forest City, Iowa and needed to move diesel production elsewhere.
For the most part, I guess this puts to rest rumors that I read in this forum, as recently as yesterday and in questions posted in this thread, regarding the resumption of Country Coach production.
However, there is this little tidbit. They have noted, "“As part of the facility purchase, Winnebago also acquired the intellectual property rights associated with Country Coach and we intend to revive that brand as part of the planned use of the new facility.” Whether that means new Country Coach branded motorhomes or more than likely something like a Country Coach model line within Winnebago remains to be seen.

Thanks for the link Mike very nice pics! I know Ron Lee was trying to make as many parts as possible in house for his business. Sully2 posted Ron Lee just sold out to Winnebago. I would like to see Winnebago bring back the CC line in Junction City!J-Rooster wrote:

this is the latest article I have read.
I have seen pictures of the prototype a couple of months ago and it didn't look like anything special to me especially with a oak interior. Link to pics - sdianel_-acct_cExplorerI would also post this question on the Country Coach owners Yahoo Group. Lots of good info there. We own a 2004 Country Coach Allure. For chassis work we use Tampa Spring in Tampa or Ocala Florida. We also use Cummins Coach Care in Ocala and Alliance Coach in Wildwood FL depending on what needs to be done. For oil changes we use Speedco. Motorhomes of Texas in Nacogdoches gets good reviews. The factory is open for service and repair in Oregon.
- DSDP_DonExplorerWhen we went to the Country Coach factory years ago, we watched as they made their chassis'. They basically took a quality, commercially available front suspension, that is boxed in, a quality, commercially available rear end assembly, boxed in, mounted them to a large jig and then welded in their chassis between the front and rear assemblies. So, there is nothing really unique about their chassis, other than it was really well built. You may find a stabilizing arm or other supports that have bushings in them used only by Country Coach, but typically the bushings were/are available, just have to be identified.

Thanks, I was just wondering because when I consider buying a used motor home from out of the area, I looked for the closest truck repair facility to check the engine and chassis for me. I looked for the nearest authorized repair facility on the chassis maker's website. That's when it occurred to me that there probably isn't a Country Coach facility outside of the manufacturer.
I don't think the lack of a facility specific to CC is a problem. As related in the posts above, any competent truck/RV facility should be up to the task. We've certainly not had a problem here in central NC -- Cummins Coach Care Centers are good, and we're now using a local truck service center in the Raleigh area that has a terrific mechanic. - barmcdExplorerThanks, I was just wondering because when I consider buying a used motor home from out of the area, I looked for the closest truck repair facility to check the engine and chassis for me. - smlrangerExplorerAs others have noted, you can get general chassis work done at places that service heavy trucks, buses or motorhomes. In my area I get my periodic maintenance service (lube, filters, transmission, air dryer, etc.) done at a local Cummins Coach Care center. When I first got the coach and wanted a good alignment, I went to a place that does alignment/frame work on heavy vehicles. The newly formed Country Coach does offer a full range of service work at their facility in Junction City, Oregon. There are other shops in the Junction City/Coburg area that have particular CC expertise.
