Curious if anyone's using a portable AC unit for cooling.

We we're planning on doing some boondockin on some land we bought which presently doesn't have power. Rather then running my onboard generator to power my roof air I was thinking about using a smaller...

I have a 10.000 btu portable unit that I use when we have an overflow of guests in the house. I only have 120 volts way out by the coach so my portable is the only option. It struggles during the heat of the day but makes it bearable. I have to make a template to put it up against the window for the exhaust.
