Curious if anyone's using a portable AC unit for cooling.

We we're planning on doing some boondockin on some land we bought which presently doesn't have power. Rather then running my onboard generator to power my roof air I was thinking about using a smaller...

I use a 12,000 BTU single hose portable AC/heat pump in our coach when the temps are too hot or too cold. It runs off of 120 volts and draws less than 10 amps. I vent the single hose to the outside and the drain down through a hole in the floor.
My unit works fine and augments the existing rooftop AC/heat pump.
If this one ever breaks down, I will get another one.
