Did I hear correctly that the tow capacity is only 2,000 pounds? That seems low. I wonder what the CCC is.
every promaster conversion i have seen has this 2000 pound limit.
remember the 5100 pound tow limit on the empty promaster is with an empty van.
a conversion in effect fills up the van-combine that with a 6 cylinder-good as it is- and the max is 2000 pounds.
a promaster conversion is not the one to get if you want to tow.
The Diesel Motorhomes are only rated for slightly over 4000lbs in Australia, so the Petrol V6 numbers sound right - skodrExplorerFretz rv photos show a spare under the sofa takes alot of storage but it is there if you want it. The invoice shows the shipping cost whow!
- wincrasher65ExplorerWe've discussed that at length in the past and I've posted pics of the 59G's battery. The other B's you are referencing have a custom installed battery box installed to hold 2 batteries. The 59G has no room for such s box as tanks and plumbing tank the space rear of the generator.

The Zion and Promaster Lexor are different variations on the same theme. The Lexor looks a bit better done to me. But Zion appears to be lower priced. Lexor is expected to have a list price of 98k, likely to sell for 85-90k.
The Travato 59G has the best layout for my taste. Too bad it doesn't have the second battery and solar.
I agree, I believe the 59G is a better layout than either the new 59K or the RT Zion. Since there is room for 2 batteries in the RAM because some of the B's on the ProMaster have the batteries below the floor and behind the rear axle - where is that single battery in the 59G and what are they doing with that rear space? You can always install solar panels and the price is continuing to drop. - gerrym51Explorer II

Pleasure-Way released a new tour of their new Promaster Lexor on YouTube.
It's a good looking B with the same floor plan and interior as their other units. Two coach batteries and solar charging. The wide Promaster lends itself to a larger bathroom.
What do you think.
Pleasure-Way Promaster Lexor
How does this compare to the new Roadtrek Zion on the Promaster chassis which is about 82K$??
the roadtrek zion has the 'engine generator' and 440 amps of battery with a 2000 watt inverter to channel the engine generator which is actually a 280 amp extra alternator. It has no onan. - wincrasher65ExplorerWell, if you have a dealer that won't make a mess of it, those items could be added to a 59G. I've thought about it, but so far haven't. I did set up to use my portable solar panel and I have a small inverter "just in case". My laptop is naturally 12v, and other devices charge just fine from the USB port on the stereo system. I've rigged up to use my engine battery for extra use - but some will say that's not a wise practice, so you must be very careful.
So far a weekend on a single battery is not really a problem running lights, tv, water pump, etc. More iffy if you are running the heater. Two batteries should be the minimum IMHO. - Jimmy_DickensExplorerThe Zion and Promaster Lexor are different variations on the same theme. The Lexor looks a bit better done to me. - stan909ExplorerAlso from Winnebago's website. This is the caveat " 4 Actual towing capacity is dependent upon your particular loading and towing circumstances, which includes the GVWR, GAWR and GCWR as well as adequate trailer brakes. Please refer to the Operator’s Manual of your vehicle for further towing information. " Once loaded it could very well be 2,500 Lbs.
