Why are you concerned about sending a copy of registration? Every time I buy a vehicle I start getting warranty offers for that specific vehicle very soon after. Somehow someone has access to that info already.

Yes, I used it and assume the thousands of fulltime RV'ers who get DTV DNS all used it. we call it the RV waiver, but yes it applies to truckers as well.
I don't understand why you're reluctant to use it ? I haven't seen any DTV agents following me around in the last 5 yrs.

It's not that I am reluctant in using it, just wanted to see if any others were using it. I am an old tightwad and hate paying more for what I am already paying for(local channels). Also I don't have the dish on my rig, so guessing that is not an issue, just fibbing a little...lol

Unless you ask a marketing professional or salesperson, there is no such thing as a "digital" antenna. The digital and analog TV signals use the same bandwidth, so as long as your antenna is hooked up to a TV with a digital tuner you should be able to get a signal.
The one caveat is signal strength. Weak analog signals give you increasing amounts of snow and static in your picture. A digital signal either has enough information to produce a picture or it doesn't. You can't just adjust the antenna using dead reckoning until the picture is clear like you did in the old days. Go to www.antennaweb.org and input your location, and you'll know what compass heading to point your antenna toward for maximum signal strength. Good luck!

We fulltime, have Directv, don't need the "local" channels from what was our home base and now have the DNS out of NY. No problem for us.

I have replace all the TV's in our h/m with new ones and our old antenna won't work worth spit, signal just breaks up. Going to get one of the digital heads for the antenna. Have tried it in several locations and just don't work, have the old converter box from the old TV's but haven't tried it and since I am not sure which coax coming thru the back of old tv are is from the antenna, etc have been reluctant in messing with it..

Didn't find out until the our last trip that a our "big Brother", tax every thing government created a new "regulation" for viewing the national channels when away from our prime location. Of course, DTV benefits from the extra fees, so they haven't raised Cain over the issue. I got the paperwork, and felt that it just wasn't worth the hassle or the extra monthly expense and now I find out that I have to have an HD box. I just go on and hook up the local cable feed during set up. I'm not a big fan of the national channels or their news programs and hook to the cable primarily to catch local weather.

I only want the local channels to watch a couple of shows a week. Am going to check to see if they are on via the computer. I just can't see them being worth 15.00 more a month. The lady I talked to yesterday, never mentioned I had to have a hd receiver to use the service, had to have a hd receiver to get local channels where we are now. Interesting, get you money and then tell you your equipment needs upgraded and then won't do that because you live full time in a Rv and don't have a stick house. LOL

Do not need hd dish or receiver to get dns network channels. I have a KVH in motion non hd dish and some old receivers, I think they are d10's or something. I get NY and LA feeds on all 4 network. I do pay extra for those. But my local channels only work at my house with hd dish and hd receivers.

Doesn't mean that it is mounted, just that you carry it along. I contract with Dish at the stick house and own my receiver in the motorhome which is on my Dish home account. Just call them up when we are traveling and have them turn it on. And use the carry out Tailgater that sits on the ground. Talk about a tightwad, its less than $10 extra a month (but I still pay for the home account) when using it, and I get the locals on my over the air Jack TV antenna.
DW will not let me have Dish turn off the home receiver because she want to record her special programs automatically even when we are on the road.
