fallen for an older rig... but not sure...

We've located an American Tradition, 2000 which is beautiful. New tires, new batteries and a nearly spotless interior. It's got a 500 cummings and 109,000 miles though...But it really is nice and the construction is amazing.
Asking price is 79,000 but I'm sure it would go for less.
The downside is its a repo, but all there a huge box of literature for the rig and who ever had it took really good care.
It's got a "steerable tag axle" whatever that means...

Anyone else have one of these?

A 500 hp Cat - that should pass everything going up the hills! And 109,000 miles is nothing for that engine.
edit: my bad - 500 hp Cummins. Still a decent engine.

Oh and you can see I have an 01 Foretravel with 145000 or so miles on it. Still running strong. I have friends with 92 thru 94 old style Grandvillas that have over 300k on them. Much rather an older coach with none of the power robbing pollution stuff on it.

If it were me and I thought I just had to have it. I would take it to a CAT dealer and have them read the codes and check for any factory work. 109,000 miles is just broke in for a CAT.
Then I would take it to an Allison dealer and have them check the fluid and other other thing that they could tell me.

Now I would really have to decide what I was going to do.

One big difference is the lack of the tag axle on the one for $44K. That means the OP is looking at a longer coach with a tag.

Is it anything like this one for $44,500?
