Newport Dunes, Newport Beach, California. If that is your cup of tea and want to pay the price have at it. It is your choice don't mind the others. Thank God we are all not the same. Life would be boring.
Newport Dunes is just ok IMO. Ocean Mesa in Santa Barbara, CA is much nicer IMO. Also, Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles, CA. Campland in San Diego, CA is really expensive but awesome. None of these are Class A only but are very nice. You know, some people that RV can't afford RV parks. Would that make nearly everyone here that stays at a RV park a snob too? I say, stay where you want to stay. There's only one rule and that's to have fun.
I agree on Newport Dunes. I've never stayed there, but have driven through it a few times. Although it's in a great location, the park itself seems pretty crowded and the sites are small. They pack a lot of RV's in there. Now this isn't necessarily a bad thing and I wouldn't have a problem spending a week there, but as far as five star resorts go this really doesn't compare with some I've seen.
