Wait till you get to California, you'll feel like you have 100 more horsepower. That's why our fuel is a dollar more a gallon here...more powerful.

We did not have trouble with our Diesel Particulate Filter/regeneration system in our 2008 Dynasty (drove to almost 70K). Currently at 46,000 miles, no trouble with the DEF system and DPF system on the new coach.

I'm not saying that there cannot be issues but if you are not wanting these systems, those coaches are just getting older and older. That's not a bad thing as motorhomes are not driven enough to be major polluters, it's the OTR trucks. We need to protect our environment, I don't see why people can't see that.

In the 60's and 70's, you couldn't see houses along the interstate in Los Angeles because of the smog. It is amazingly clear now, not perfect but 90% better. To be clear (no pun intended), I didn't see it myself, I'm getting that info from friends who live/lived in that area then as I didn't arrive in California until the early 90's. I see these emission systems as an advantage to our health.

We visited India in '96 and that was a real eye-opener on pollution. :E

It will have an Allison automatic. I don't know of any DP with the Eaton AutoShift.

There may be one, but every diesel pusher I'm aware of uses an Allison.

I'd assume the OPs was the MH3000.

It does not have to have the def. I had a 04 400 isl an it would pull this one an it's load. Can I have it turned up with a programmer or turn more fuel to it, and also I just get 6 mpg my 04 got 7.8

If you are driving a turbocharged engine you need to really watch the octane rating of your fuel. My F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost engine says to run a minimum 87 octane rating fuel at all times including at high elevations. The manual specifically states that while towing at any elevation you should run 91 octane for the best performance.

Another problem I am having is sometimes when I stop the coach the front and cut it off the front 2 air bags go flat in a minute and next time might not do it for awhile. It is on a spartan. And sometimes it will hold air for 10 days an not leak any out. We air traveling out west now we are in Utah.
