Help repair leaky faucet - Can't ID valve part or disassemble

I'm in Mother's Day trouble. We are preparing to leave for the first camping trip of the year, but the kitchen faucet has sprung a leak.

I suspect it might be a packing nut or O-ring on the cold water valve and tried to disassemble but I have not seen this type of valve stem and I don't know how to disassemble, or even the faucet manufacturer or model number.

With the valve closed, the faucet steadily leaks whenever the pump is on, and continues to leak slowly or drip after the pump is turned off. The RV is a 2004 R-Vision Trail Lite 235S.

Can anyone help me with manufacturer, model, disassembly, or repair procedure from these photos? Thanks!

As an update to my original post, when I contacted Dura Faucet they were not sure this was one of their faucets and suggested I use a mirror to inspect the rear of the base plate for a logo. Although hidden from view, the manufacturer name was clearly visible (although backwards) through the mirror.

After contacting Huntington Brass customer service, they are sending me replacement cartridges for both hot and cold valves. As I suspected, the kitchen faucet was better quality than the cheap plastic OEM fixtures on the bathroom sink and tub.

Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.

For the cost and labor (yours) I had a similar episode. Went to WalMart. Fit perfect.

From your 2nd picture (Valve stem cartridge) looks like the bonnet nut has been removed so you should be able to pull valve cartridge up/out.

Under cartridge S/B 'seat' and a spring.

Take ALL of it to ACE Hardware for correct replacement cartridges (might want to get 2 so if hot starts leaking you have cartridge)
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Thanks j-d. It sure looks like my faucet, but my valve stems are brass not plastic. I'll try to edit my post so the images show up.

I would take the pictures and see if anyone recognizes what brand/model what you need.

OOPS... Can see your pix by clicking the links. Thought the "image" items were all you'd posted.

I looked around and I think you have an J-Spout by Dura Faucet which I found on rvfaucet.com

and, they show Replacement Cartridges Here. You could probably call them and make sure you have their brand, and how to get the parts sent to your destination.

That, or take the thing out and visit an Ace Hardware (or big box if you've found they have decent staff in Plumbing Dept) and perhaps they can dismantle it, and ID the part(s)you need. I dismantled the one in a rental RV we had in Alaska, took the pieces to the local True Value (Homer) and they sold me the piece I needed. And, rental company gladly reimbursed me. Better that than call out a mobile tech. Point is, it was in an RV but a part from residential repaired it.

We had Phoenix faucets. They're cheap RV/Trailer stuff, but had lasted 10 years hard use (nearly 4 years full time). After spending a lot of time trying to match the mounting form (spacing, number of holes) I just ordered this Phoenix

from Amazon

It put me in a high-arc faucet which I didn't have before, and I could remove/install with just my fingers. Fingers and some Plumber's Putty.

And no, couldn't see your pix. If you go to "Forum Tech Support" forum, there's a sticky "How to Post Photos." If they're on the WEB, you can copy the Image URL, then used "Advanced" instead of "Quick Reply." Select the icon that looks like a Post Card, Paste the URL, and select a Size less than 480. My faucet pic is 250.

Thanks for the quick replies DavidP and WILDEBILL308. The faucet assembly is metallic and appears to be good quality. The previous owner may have replaced the original.

Can you guys see my images? I tried posting links to the photos I uploaded to Google Drive, but as I recall there was some 3rd party photo service I may need to use with the RVnet forms.

Thanks.

Agree, new faucet. I would also add 1/4 turn shut off valves. Shark bite valves would work well. Good luck and enjoy the trip.
