Holiday Rambler dash switches

I asked about some of this the other day.. But after playing with it this weekend I have one more question.. So 2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor on the dash there is a rocker switch that say "Inc/Dec" What is that for? My high idle works off the cruise..
  • I played with the switch when the engine was idling at 725 RPM. When I momentarily pressed increase the idle speed went to 750; then pressed it again and it went to 775. Then decrease back down to 725. The cruise control will take it up to 1100 or 1300 imediatly. I think the dash switch is just used to set the correct idle speed.
  • BillofPA you have pretty well the same set up I do. How do you get it to change the idle speed.. Right now I can use the cruise to up the idle, but when I press the inc/dec nothing happens. I know this is a dumb question but if the cruise increases the idle why does it have both?

What happens when you push it with the engine running? My guess is that without a smart wheel it would be for increasing / decreasing RPMs.
  • The switch indicates that it is a momentary switch that "INCreases, or DECreases something.
Unless they mislabeled the switch, or someone replaced the original switch with this one, I would look for something that could be increased or decreased like may air pressure, heater temperature, etc.
