I am in the process of getting my class B non-commercial license in Maryland. I found it to be pretty simple. I went to my local MVA and took the "written" test on a computer. It was 20 questions and I needed to get 17 right to pass. I managed to pass this test without reviewing the study material and they issued me a class B non-commercial learners permit on the spot. The learners permit is good for four months. It allows me to practice driving vehicles which require a class B non-com license as long as there is a properly licensed person in the vehicle with me. Now all I have to do is go back and take the driving test and they will issue me my very own class B non-com license. I hope this helps.
