Majestic 19G and similar smallest Class C's

Mike, how wide or deep is the bed from front to rear? I realize it is narrower and maybe not completely usable up front except for a kid. I'm just trying to figure out how wide it is for two adults. Or is it meant for two to sleep north-south?

If you take the dinette backrest cushions off, what is the measurement between the dinette backs? Another way of saying how long is that bed?

Yes, I think it would be great. But they don't make it today and I don't know what is out there like that.

As mentioned above, check out the smaller Phoenix Cruisers too. The 2400 has a rear kitchen, but not as roomy as that Sunseeker.

Snowman9000, that is a very nice floor plan on the SunSeeker. Since I travel alone I could get by with just sleeping on the sofa and having the kitchen in the rear really opens up the living area. I have been trying to see the whole country by jumping from National park to National park. The longest I have ever been out though has been 6 weeks when I made my Northwest loop and the biggest drawback I found was the seating. There is no way to get comfortable in the dinette to watch TV and the seat gets real hard after awhile. Its mostly a problem on the bad weather days when you cant sit outside but I think having that sofa could make all the difference.

Check out the Phoenix Cruiser 2100. At 22' long, it has a fold out walk around bed with a full time dinette. Have no actual experience of one as we just ordered ours. For two people it seems to the be best option available.

samven, that is the same floorplan we have. We always thought it was good, but heavily compromised. But as time goes on, we have come to realize that it has a lot of function and storage, and two big beds, in a small package. The biggest drawbacks are lack of elbow room in general, small kitchen, and only having the dinette for seating. (I did add a swivel plate under the passenger seat, though.)

I guess what I'm trying to say is the more we use it, the more we have come to realize that it's very good for something 25 feet long.

What we would really like is the floorplan of the Sunseeker 2200 of several years ago. Big kitchen and bath, and a nice sofa and dinette. The catch is, the main bed is up top, like the Majestic 19G. I really liked the look of the 19 as well. I wanted something small so I could get in and out of the more remote campsites and be a little less obvious when staying overnight in parking lots, but I am of that age where getting up at 3AM to use the facilities is getting more frequent and I was a bit worried about getting in and out of the overhead while half asleep. I ended up with the 22E which is really 25 ft long and while I wish the corner bed was easier to make, I love the larger bath and being able to just drop into bed. One thing to watch for is the step just in front of the bed. If you forget its there in the middle of the night it really jolts your spine. Luckily on the 22E you can go from the bed to bath and back without encountering the step.

These helped answer some questions I had as well. I love the size of the 19 footer, although until I try the bed, I can't really tell if it will be something I'd like, or if I should go with a traditional corner queen model.

We are leaning towards something with a corner-queen bed and a cabover bed, simply so I don't have to make up and tear down beds on a daily basis. (The corner queens also offer massive storage space) The Thor 22E and 23U floorplans have risen to the top of the list. After reading that the 19G gets between 8 and 10 mpg, I realize that there's almost no fuel savings in going too small. Our previous 28' widebody got 8.5 mpg (or 8 when pulling a toad). We suspect that model was an unsold rental unit - it was pretty "basic" - but that meant that it was incredibly easy to dump the tanks, winterize, etc.

The 19G is one of the few C's I've seen that has an aero cap that you can sleep in! Wish more models had that!
