New Mirada awning not fully retracting

Just bought a new 2016 Coachmen Mirada 35BH a week ago. We're camping at a local campground about 110 miles from home. This afternoon we pushed the button and extended our awning. This evening we pushed the button to bring it in, but it stopped about 5 inches short. We checked all the breakers and fuses and all look good. I unscrewed the switch and checked the connections and again the wires and connectors look good and secure.
We're scheduled to go home tomorrow, but don't want to destroy the awning on the way. Help!!! Is there anything I should check or do to get the awning all the way in and secured? We are connected to 50 amp electric and have 2 new six volt batteries and an inverter. We have coach-net roadside assistance (dealer is about 300 miles from us). We do not have a toad. An Acme Eze-Tow dolly has been ordered. Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Roll it out. Put a person on each side of the supports. Have those people assist the awning by pushing on the support as you roll it up again. When you get home, go to the hardware store and purchase some dry lube in a spray can. Extend the awning and lube each joint in the supports and anywhere they can bind. Should fix it.

Try rolling it back out, but stop it when the roller has the long slide opening from end to end. The area where you can insert a sun screen or where the manual awnings have their strap slide. Then try rolling it back up. This happened to me as I had over extended the awning. Worth a try...if not, suggestion above, zip ties or good bungee cords. Mine did act loose on the way home from a trip. Thought it would take the whole awning off.

for now get some good strong zip ties and put a few around each awning arm so they won't let out going down the freeway
