New to rvs, 1985 Jamboree problems

Hi, my name is Rhonda and I could sure use some advice. First of all battery for motor is dead. I can't find an inside hood release and the front one clicked but did not open. Next I thought I would use emergency start but I think the guy I bought it from did something to separate batteries. Help
  • re: separating the batteries ... normal. There's usually a relay or isolator to separate the engine from house battery or batteries. The emergency start button temporary ties those batteries back together while you hold the button in, allowing the house battery(ies) to function together to assist in starting the engine.
  • I assume that when you say inside hood release, you mean the one inside the cab. And the front one, you mean the one at the hood/grill.
On a Ford the inside one is just inside the driver's door, on the side wall by your left leg/foot.
The hood/grill one is the secondary safety one that you release after the inside one is released.

  • Welcome to the forum. If you tell us which chassis you have it would help. Chevy, Ford, etc..

'I can't find an inside hood release and the front one clicked but did not open'.
I'm not sure what you are saying?

Someone will have an answer for you, just give us a little more information about your RV. :)
