No power to Carefree awning

Glad you figured it out. Sure seems like a lot of stuff on one GFCI though.

Well...I learn something new every. Single. Day.

I started digging around today based on some of the feedback here. I didn't get too far when I decided to plug in the clock in the bedroom and set the time. Oddly..no power to the outlet. So I checked the GFCI in the master bath and sure enough it was tripped. I reset the GFCI, plugged in the clock and set the time. Went back out to finish poking around with the awning and boom, it had power! So I tripped the GFCI, checked the awning...no power. So, the awning power is in the same line as the GFCI. I had no idea and I would have never guessed.

In other news(I thought I had another problem), the igniter on the AquaHot is tied to the GFCI as well. Our burner would not ignite with the GFCI tripped. Works perfectly now.

I'm glad I completely stumbled on to an easy fix but I feel pretty stupid. So hopefully this helps if you didn't already know.

I had an 06 Monaco Diplomat that developed a problem with the awning. It was a relay in the side compartment in front on the driver side. Mine was a lot more fun since it was intermittent. Turned out the relay was heat sensitive, would work at night or early morning and stop working when the sun would warm things up. They had to finally use a heat gun to isolate it. Your relay might just be dead.

Could be the switch, relay, motor or wiring. Use a voltmeter connected to frame ground (in case it's a open ground) to isolate the issue.

First check your fuses.
Do you have a test light of multi-meter? Look for the wires going up the arm to the awning motor. Disconnect them and test for voltage (don't forget to turn the switch on). If you have voltage you probably need a new motor. No voltage start working back to the power.
My next point would be the switch. Look for power at the switch. If you have power coming in and none going out when you press the switch. Your switch is bad.
