I would make an exhaust out of alum gutter down spout similar to the one below. You would have to have a piece as long as your slideout before the elbow and then aprox 7' going up which will be enough to get the exhaust safely away. For those that doubt 7' going up is enough, I often just use this elbow to get the hot air going up and something about hot air rising takes care of the rest.
Most of the weight is supported by the suction cup and metal arm. Total cost less than $25 for alum gutter down spout, elbow, and suction cup.
