I'm not opposed to those who are capable making their own Genturi. However that is not what this thread is about. The OP was concerned because he needed an extension to clear his slide.
Extension pipe is made by Genturi for that reason.
I agree the genuine Genturi's are quite pricey. But they work as designed. If you don't have the skills paying $100 beats suffocating or worse yet having someone in the next RV over suffocate.
I considered fabricating something however I was able to find a bonafide Genturi on on Craigslist at a reasonable price. It came with a nice storage bag and all the adapters I needed. The real thing is certainly nicer than what I would have made.
