Has anyone ever used a OBD ll dongle for hard to reach places that fits with the BT adaptor.
My plugin fits to tight to the dash to use the OBD without loosening the dash temporarily.
If so where did you get? Amazon?:@
The extension cables from Amazon work fine. I use a Range module (defeats the GM system that switches the V8 into V4 mode) with my Corvette Z06 and I bought an extension cable with inline on/off switch from Amazon two years ago.
The OBD-II connector wasn't designed for high duty cycle usage so if you are constantly plugging/unplugging a device you should also use an extension cable to save wear on the stock OBD-II port. - GdlowExplorer

Sometimes, the builder coils up the wires and zip ties it to something under the dash. Check for a zip tie to cut and drop the connector down to where you can get at it.
It is fastened with a couple of screws, so I can undo that...loosen the dash for a bit to fit or look at getting a dongle.. 3 choices and dongle if they work seems like best long term . - jplante4Explorer IISometimes, the builder coils up the wires and zip ties it to something under the dash. Check for a zip tie to cut and drop the connector down to where you can get at it.

On mine there is a vinyl (Faux Leather) wrap around the steering column it's velcro-ed on.. Same color as the driver's seat.. On left side of column, inside the wrap.. has a OBD-II to Blue Tooth adapter in it (Well mine does) so I can monitor stuff not displayed on ye old dash. - GdlowExplorer

Think I found it..but have to loosen the dash to be able to use my OBD ll.
Under the dash, left of steering column.
You shouldn't have to loosen anything. Just align things up and it should just slide in.
My OBD ll is about 3 inches long and only a couple of inches from dash is the distance available...Mind if I send a pictiure to ensure it is what I am looking at...will take me a few minutes to do.
