- RLS7201Explorer IIIf your have a F53 chassis and if the output shaft seal is leaking, the seal is internal of the bearing and you'll need to disassemble the steering box to replace the seal. What looks like a seal on the end of the case is only a dust shield.
Richard - Bird_FreakExplorer IIAlso what seal? You have the shaft seal from the column and the shaft for the pitman arm. Top plate could be a gasket or a O ring. If lower shaft seal for pitman arm before I replaced I would have someone rock steering back and forth while watching shaft for any side movement. If you have side movement the bushing is worn and you should replace box.
