- Bucky1320ExplorerTap tap tap....is this thing on? I would like to find out if the phone app will work with the Diesel pushers.
I need the round 6 pin connection. - KidooExplorerHere is the site to program it I think, not sure. If you have any inputs, let us know.

Some places charge just to get it scanned. Some places let you borrow a scanner like Autozone.

My HR 34' 2003 Cummins 300hp Diesel has a round engine diagnostics plug. Anyone know which OBD, if any, will work with it that I can get from Amazon as an example? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I have a Cayman 2003 300 HP, you have either a 6 or a 9 pin plug or both. The scangauge D has the two plugs provided with the kit. I have a 6 pin hidden under the left hand Dashboard, I removed the panel to find it. And I have a 9 pin over the engine. If you open the second engine panel from the rear, you should see the 9 pins.
The front 6 pins on mine only reads engine parameters, like RPM, fuel, ect, it does show codes but I can not relate them to the Cummins codes. To read the engine codes, I have to plug it in the rear plug and then go to Quickserve Cummins and find the related cummins codes and what they are.
Scangauge D is fine to indicate trouble codes and some info from the engine parameters. I would like a little more like the EGR and turbo VGT, I do not know yet how to program it. I have one in my Ford 6.0 Diesel and I have many more gauges than the original. - Bucky1320ExplorerWhat about Deisels with the 5 pin round plug? Is there a Bluetooth for that which can be used with your phone as well?
- dsuretteExplorerThe Bluetooth spec is a range of 10 meters or about 33 feet. There are range extenders available if you want to go that route.

OK. If I don't have the wire extended to the front, will the Bluetooth send signal from back in the compartment where the plug in is?
Perhaps some details will help here. I bought a ScangaugeD. I like it. But my port under the dash was never connected to the port in the back. I haven't been able to trace the wires to see if the harness was even run to the back. But my bet is that it wasn't. So I can plug the deal in back in the rear compartment where the outlet is. That just doesn't give me a running gauge. If I could get the signal wirelessly to the scangauge, that would be great. But I have not found a feasible way to do that yet. But this other deal with the phone sounds like it is set up that way. But is range from back to front of a 38' motorhome going to be an issue? - dodge_guyExplorer II

I am using an APP called Dash Command, you can get it from the Apple App store or Googe play app store. there are other versions such as Torque app. these are the only 2 good apps. there are others, but they are not as good.
I never heard of this before. This sounds awesome. I found the app for my phone called DASHCOMMAND. But I am having trouble locating the Bluetooth devise. I need it for a 2007 F350. Any advise?
With the Dash Command. You will need to buy the in app purchase for the PIDS for your particular model year. That is only $10. Make sure that if you have an Iphone you can only use a WiFi dongle (OBD) connector. All other phones can use both WiFi or bluetooth. I gotmy ELM327 WiFi from Amazon for around $18. - Bucky1320ExplorerOK. If I don't have the wire extended to the front, will the Bluetooth send signal from back in the compartment where the plug in is?
- dsuretteExplorerNewegg has the BAFX Products - Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool on sale for $17.99 today. I just ordered one and downloaded Torque.
