WOW, guy voices an opinion and immediately gets crucified. We are here to help each other, not slam a guy for a post. This forum has turned into one guy bashing another. sure, everyone has an opinion, but HELP the guy. I have been on this forum for lots of years and just started noticing the derogatory responses.
Try to be a little more sympathetic to someone's problem.
Other than going and physically replacing his transfer switch, I think the OP got as much HELP as humanly possible. He was given the recall info along with the 800 number to call. He was told about how others have received information about this problem on other forums. He was told by one member here, who used the 800 number, exactly how it worked for him. Not once did the OP say thanks for the HELP.
Basically to me it just appears that the OP had an ax to grind and nothing anyone said was going to change that. Personally I think that if he didn't receive a recall notice it was because he was traveling or there was some other reason it got lost in the mail. Other owners acknowledged they did receive their recall notices so it is obvious Monaco/Navistar sent them out.
The OP can continue to bash Monaco/Navistar but it looks like they did address the problem back in March 2012.
