rgatjinet: For starters Navistar does not own Monaco anymore. The bankruptcy judge should never have approved that sale. Navistar had board members who were already on the Monaco board. This whole deal was fixed. You did not mention that at the last minute Navistar realized that they were buying Roadmaster as a whole company. Then Navistar had the judge toss Roadmaster in as a sort of bonus. My details may not be 100% accurate but they are close! Navistar is and was a sleazy outfit. Notice that FW was bought by ASV. Same deal. They only bought assets. They also continued providing warranty to any of the previous owners. Navistar stole the company. The partially completed and fully completed units were worth a lot of money. Toss in the real estate at 30 cents on the dollar and you are over the purchase price. But this is water under the bridge. That was almost 5 years ago. I just don't want anyone to think that Navistar was some sort of knight on a white horse rescuing a damsel in distress. They did nothing to add value to the Monaco name! Nor did they preserve what little bit of the Monaco name that was left. ASV has started to build new 2015 Monacos and maybe things will change. A big maybe.
