Bumpy is absolutely right. Just because you see one being towed, you don't know what may have been done to make it towable. But if you do your homework, making one towable may not be all that difficult, and the extra cost may be worth it. In our case, we found that the cost of adding a Remco transmission pump to our existing paid for RAV4 made more economic sense than trading it in for a different car that we may not have liked as well. Remco has the equipment to make quite a few other cars towable that the manufacturers say can't be as well.
