Towable vehicles 4 down

We went with a KIA SOUL. It does have to be a manual shift. They have plenty of room for passengers (Our daughters boyfriend is 6'1" and about 230 lbs and has plenty of room in the back seat. Seats fold down for lots of storage. Drives well and weighs around 3000#. For about 15K out the door you can pick up a new one with a 100K warranty.

Love my 2012 Liberty (last year it was built). Excellent to drive. DW loves to drive. Tows like it's not their. One touch to disconnect or reconnect the drive train. Base plates available (I installed mine myself in about 4 hours).
What could be better?

Bumpy, the Jeep Liberty changed in 2008 and was made a little larger than the previous model. My brother had two 2008's, one for his wife, one for himself. They still tow hers and they are comfortable vehicles.

I almost bought the previous style 2007 Jeep Liberty but bought a 2007 Honda CR-V instead.

I am on my second Jeep Liberty as a tow behind my Class A. Have towed for several thousand miles and been very pleased. Simply put the transfer case in neutral and go, easy, easy, easy. The jeep Liberty is pretty comfy and roomy for four adults.

another miss placed logic conclusion is that "well if blue ox makes a base plate for it, it must be towable".

Bumpy is absolutely right. Just because you see one being towed, you don't know what may have been done to make it towable. But if you do your homework, making one towable may not be all that difficult, and the extra cost may be worth it. In our case, we found that the cost of adding a Remco transmission pump to our existing paid for RAV4 made more economic sense than trading it in for a different car that we may not have liked as well. Remco has the equipment to make quite a few other cars towable that the manufacturers say can't be as well.

Try here and the older CRV's, for example, are still good to go, but not many if any of the new imports ... DINGHY TOWING
