I have a Tireminder with 8 sensors and 4 on the towed vehicle that are designed for a towed vehicle (extra range?) and the booster installed right on the back engine cover. Free batteries yes, but I seem to continuously find myself replacing batteries, and now I have 1 sensor that seems to have failed. Kind of frustrating but I'll give it another go next spring with all new batteries.
Cute story, our coach already had a tireminder and the Dealer said it didn't work so I bought a new one. The old one actually did work (don't get me started on CW) so I gave it to my daughter for use on her 5th wheel. Sure enough, she started getting low pressure and blamed my Tireminder I gave her because her tires have never had an issue before. Turns out she was mostly right :) The tireminder transmitters actually caused 2 of her loose metal valve stems to leak because of centrifugal force down the road. The ultimate problem was loose valve stems so the Tireminder was actually doing its job. Tightened the stems and good ever since.
