Transfer switch popping every 15 seconds

One thought DO you have a line monitor volt meter......
I do not know about the ATS/Surge guard you have but the TRC Surge Guard I have (Seperate from my ATS) is voltage senistive. If the park voltage is low then when your neighbor's A/C kicks on (or yours) and it dropps a volt or two lower due to line loss.. DARKNESS ENSUES....

My system is

Shore cord and inlet---_Hughes Autoformer---TRC Hard wired 50 amp surge guard with remote---ATS--House YOu might note the autoformer to up the voltage when that happens.. And happen it does in one park I frequent.

Had the same thing happen on the same unit 41260 last year,but my gen would not work either.put a new one in problem solved.My buddy checked out the old one ,hes an electrician, ran it for 2 days worked fine.

You are using a progressive inline with the trc

Without having one in front of me to open up
I wonder is the surge protection of the trc only on the shore power input side, which is why everything is ok when using the generator

I think the trc is faulty

I would replace it with one that is transfer switch only, and keep using the progressive for surge protection

What do you mean by "Popping" The unit you have contains MOV's and if they get over voltaged they can make like firecrackers (Been there when it happened. long story omitted)

Guessing you have either an open neutral or open ground or poor neutral/ground on the park side. Just a guess.

Xfr switch "popping"
This is not a circuit breaker exactly what do you mean by popping

50 amp RV
50 amp xfr switch
50 amp ems
30 am service

GG voltage is low
Or
Faulty ems
Does your ems display an error code when this happens

Are you letting the A/C cycle the compressor
Or cycle between two different rooftop A/C's
The start up surge will cause low voltage and the ems will trip, shutting you down

Make sure your electrical cord prongs are clean and shiny. Also put some NO-Ox on the prongs. See if that helps.

Is voltage still 120 VAC+/- IN THE COACH (not just at the CG outlet) when the clicking occurs OR when the ATS clicks do you loose 120 VAC to the coach?

Yes, surge protectors can fail, just as can ATS's and most other electric devices.

I'd also check the contact switches insidw the transfer switch. Normally a transfer switch is wired such that the default position is to prefer shore power and the contact switches inside are held in that position with springs. But if the contacts have a build-up of patina or they're pitted from arcing they might not make good contact. When this happens the junction can heat up and the switch could open.
