This issue happened before. Unable to access recordings on DVR unless hooked up to antenna.
Anyone else notice? This is a new problem.
I recall a fellow RV'er spent quite a bit of time fixing this issue last time it happened.
Yes I believe it was back in 2013. Wish I could remember the guy who finally got them to fix it. I think he must have spent a couple of weeks on it. I hate to talk to the CSR on the phone, can't understand them (they say they're speaking English), but Directv has a Facebook page and I posted a complaint there. Got a "Social Media Specialist" on Messenger who told me to refresh my receiver. Grrrr! Anyway, if everyone posts on FB and the AT&T tech site, at least they can't say "You're the only one who's complained." - swphotobugExplorerWe have the same problem but figure it wasn't worth it to call since we are in Alaska and have no service anyway.
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIIConfirmed. Disconnected coax cable on my HR44, powered up and no recordings were available. Waited 60 minutes periodically trying various key combinations etc, Nothing, nada, zip. Reconnected coax and in 2 minutes live TV and all recordings available.
This is a disappointing DTV new problem.Pirate wrote:

Such a horrible choice. All they want to say is put your antenna back up.
The cure was new software downloaded by DirecTV. Please call DTV tech support to complain so they can fix it "again"! - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIThe cure was new software downloaded by DirecTV. Please call DTV tech support to complain so they can fix it "again"!

I remember when that happened. I searched for the post about it so I could review what steps were taken to resolve it but haven't had any luck finding it.
Ugh. Years ago that happened, then they fixed it. Hope it's not back again. - Pirate1ExplorerJust retested. Been up & running for a few days, no glitches on satellite.
Stowed antenna, was still able to view recording list, as noted by Bill above.
Turned receiver off/on. Not able to view recordings. Yes, something has changed.
