- DFordExplorerDTV is owned by AT&T. Customer Service is dead at that place. The U-Verse modem failed at our church taking down the two phonelines and the internet. I spent 3 hours on the phone with someone in Asia trying to get them fixed. They never gave an inch. We were down for a full week before they scheduled a tech to come out to replace the modem. That level of service sucks.

Totally agree %100 about AT&T"s tech support!!!! There are totally useless even when dealing with issues with Computers. All the sales people in our local AT&T store report the same poor quality of tech support. Equally as frustrating is talking with AT&T customer support technicians who can not speak english. If I call, I always tell customer support that I want to speak to someone in the USA who can speak understandable english!!!!!!! I get transferred to some one in the USA:) - DFordExplorerDuring the calls I mentioned that took over 3 hours, I repeatedly asked and demanded to be transferred to someone actually in the United States but they just ignored my repeated complaints about not being able to understand their accents.
The trouble around St Louis is the only other choice we have for internet service is Spectrum (Charter) and their customer service is rated near the bottom also. We're screwed no matter which way we go.
Customer Service is not a priority with large corporations in general - no matter how many times the automated voice tells you your call is important to us (total BS). - drsteveExplorerDirecTV has sucked since AT&T took over. It won't get better either...
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIHang up and call DISH
Or that new one Orby.. not sure if ORBY is RV friendly but think they are
Limited selection though - DFordExplorerOne last comment: The last few times I've called Dish, I spoke to someone in the states on the first try. That hadn't been true in years past. Could it be they finally got the message that calls to Asia only upset the customer more than the reason for the call?
- Bird_FreakExplorer III haven't had to talk to anyone out of the states since I switched to Dish. I knew Direct was doomed with the merge with AT&t.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIIf you check any of the customer satisfaction numbers you will find that there are nearly exactly the same number of customers that are unhappy with DirecTV as there are customers that are unhappy with DISH.
- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIBefore AT&T Customer Service was much better.....also when ever I get on AT&T's Website, I always say how can a Tech company have such a lousy WEB Portal....its gotta be the slowest and continually fails.
- 2oldmanExplorer IIUse chat, not the phone. No accents, maybe just poor spelling.
