question on playing tv through stereo speakers

Maybe you have to go to the settings in the TV to tell it you want to use the headphone or accessory jack.

You may also want to go thru your tv settings and make sure the headphone jack is enabled. I am not saying this is a definite feature of your television but I have seen a few with this option.

What's the impedance of the Jensen AUX input? I don't know anything about these? Are these Jensen's just audio, or does it have a built-in DVD player for instance? If so, that AUX could be wired for a split video/audio input via mini jack? That's easily corrected via adapter, but you still will have an impedance issue with headphone level output, and line level input and voltage, without using a preamp of some type.

Just get a headphone jack plug with a Y on the back with 2 RC connectors. Plug into the Headphone jack on the TV. and then take the 4 screws loose on the CD player. Pull it straight out. there are 2 aux input jacks on top of the unit. Plug the RC connectors into that. Remount it back into the hole
Turn on the CD player. At the bottom of the unit there are several buttons. One will say CD, One will say radio, and one will say AUX. Press that one. Then select the speaker location you need. Inside, out side, or both.

It could be possible you have the outside only speaker on, and you just can't hear it inside.

It would be helpful if you tell us what model LCD TV and Jensen you have?

First, make sure the output is working on the TV? Connect a pair of headphones and check.

In any case, the most obvious question is that are you selecting the correct input source on the Jensen? But the core issue is likely that the Jensen wants a line-level input, while the output on the TV is a much lower headphone level impedance. Also, the headphone voltage level is lower.

They do make wireless Bluetooth adapters for headphones out(transmitter) to stereo line-in(receiver). But remember you'll need both transmitter/receiver. This would also allow you to play music from a tablet or smartphone w/Bluetooth through your Jensen.

Do you have to set (press a button, flip a switch) on the Jensen unit to Aux input?

Where are you... If TV has headpone out and Dash AUX-in and the jacks are about 1/8" in diamater,, Then the cable shown above shoudl be all that is needed.

HOWEVER, you may have to tell tell the radio to use AUX-In, it may be disabled in a menu option or not. You do have to manually select it though.

Set TV volume to mid scale,, This should work. Of course the radio has to be on.

Finally..... You may have noise issues doing it this way, if that happens. go with the FM transmitter.

Well I went and got the adapter to plug into the aux input and wired it exactly the way they told me at the audio place and still nothing. Either I'm doing something wrong or it's above this old country boy. It simply won't play through the speakers in the camper. I've tried going from the headphone jack to the aux. imput nothing there and then running it from the audio side of the tv to the aux imput and nothing that way either. I'm totally stumped and out of ideas! Any suggestions would be welcomed. :h
