Dallas, here we come!

Spring will be here when you arrive. If you get to the S.E. Texas area-I am across the state line from Louisiana and just off I-10. I can put you up for a few days. I have 30 AMO and 50 Amp, water and sewer at no charge.

Crawfish will be in season. You gotta try them.:B

Thanks for the offer skid roe joe, but if u read my op you will see that we are not there til 31st March & we won't have a rig to sleep in as we arrive by plane. :D Glad we weren't there for the sub-freezing temps.

I read that. I've been here for 27 years, and I'll still be here in March. Lots of RVs for sale in the Dallas, Texas market. I would try to sell you mine, but being a Class C diesel, it's a keeper for me at this time.

G'day Frank, Im pretty hooked on getting a Dodge megacab 3500 dually. I have a look every now & then on the internet to keep my eye on the prices but ultimately think I will wait until we arrive so i can view in person, test drive etc.
And yes, we have our hearts set on bringing back to Perth with the FW & doing all the necessary conversions. So we really need to choose wisely.
We are definitely going through Flo-rida (sorry, couldn't resist), so will shout out. I plan on logging onto this forum quite regularly with updates on our journey so you'll be able to see were we are at. Sooo excited!

Have you looked into 'rental' of a Class A?
6 month rental would be roughly $50,000 but your done....just turn it back in and fly home

Purchasing would render some return on investment at end of trip with sale of rig.
Anyway, it sounds like they've planned it out to their liking and are only looking for temporary accommodations while awaiting taking possession of their rigs.

Thanks for the insight.... I am also a light sleeper. The 1st night after being awake for 24+ hours won't be a problem....Can not sleep on planes for same reason.

We have stayed at The Vineyard RV Park / Campground in Grapevine and it is suitable for a short term stay. The noise from DFW airport can be problematic to light sleepers such as myself. Planes are landing or taking off at all hours directly overhead often times.
