Dometic Slide Topper sags needs Topper Cradle Support

Has anyone had any experiences with the Dometic Slide Topper Cradle Support? My brand new 156 inch topper bows in the middle and rubs on the slide flange even though the two ends are clear and installed per instructions. I found that Dometic has a slide topper cradle support part no 3309526 that looks like a few rollers that will cradle the center. Any Issues? I heard of one person who said the bottom roller is tearing away at his awning and Dometic wont fix it. Now that I installed the topper taking it off to raise it up will leave holes behind so I dont care for that idea.

We are getting ready to have slide toppers installed and we are going to have a cradle installed on our 188" slide. Good to see this post and that the cradle works.

Chris Thanks that's encouraging. I certainly didn't want to remove it and shimmy it up for clearance then have a bunch of holes to deal with.

I've installed one on a 194" topper- it's been a year, and no issues yet. There are several models, depending on the main brackets.

I would bet if it's tearing the awning, it's not installed or adjusted correctly. I am sure that there will be some additional wear, though.

Its the tube that sags and rubs on top of slide out. Not the fabric. Dometic has a fix but I am looking for experiences with it or other fixes. Thanks

Sagging topper is seldom a problem with the exception of instances where it is pretty much stationery. If you're camping short term or traveling then any pooled water will simply be expelled when you bring in the slide room. If you set up on a permanent or semi permanent site AND there is a lot of rain it might be better to use something to prop up the topper. A support rafter is ok and so would be a beach ball or two placed under the awning. Whatever you put up there, don't forget to remove it prior to closing the slide room or damage may occur.
