Yes passenger side while passing a truck going the same direction on a narrow bridge under construction.
Hmm, what is wrong with this picture??? :h
:S
Yeah, my bad! No need to rub it in. lol - frankdampExplorerFrancesca - took the RH mirror off a rented RV on that bridge back in the mid 1970s! A logging truck was coming the opposite direction.

I know at least three people that have scraped right-side mirrors off on this HWY 101 bridge! Crosses the Duckabush River near Liliwaup Washington...
Francesca, my first reply was from my cell phone, now that i see this picture on my laptop, I see the scrape marks on the bridge arch!
Not sure , but those bridges might be listed as historical structures, as the arch and the support columns are all concrete, concrete normally doesn't do well in tension, must be early post tension system of some type. - seleExplorerYes 2 weeks ago in Missouri going to Cuiver river campground. We had turned into the state forest on the narrow 2 lane road. I almost always hug the white line with the f'ver tire for this reason. As we rounded a curve with a double yellow line an older suv met us crossed the line a hit my mirror and proceeded down the road. Another 2 feet and I hate to think about it. I feel that he was a local going to fast for the curve.
We are waiting on repairs as I write this. - NolanExplorerNot yet. But then I move over when meeting another truck or MH. 99% of them do the same thing. Plus when I come up to a skinny bridge in the pictures posted I'll yield to the oncoming truck or MH, sometimes even a car so I can ride the yellow line.
I have hit the mirror against lots of small tree branches in campgrounds that need cut back. It's ether that or the trailer will rub up against a tree or bigger branch. - ghsebldrExplorerEnded up with a lap full of mirror bits while crossing the Hood River Bridge from Or. to Wa. Very narrow bridge. Pull your drivers mirror in when getting on that bridge. $400 for the replacement head on a Velvac.
- dhustExplorerI've lost 2 passenger side mirrors, but not due to hitting anything. I tow with an Expedition that has the turn signals under the mirrors, and I have a problem finding an extension mirror that will stay secured on the passenger side. One, the straps came undone while I was traveling 50 MPH on a 2 lane road with nothing around. The grass was tall, the shoulder was narrow, and I couldn't get turned around in enough time to know where it happened, so I just had to leave it. Happened again with another brand with a different fastening style a couple of years later.
Not exactly what you were asking, but it was a lost mirror. - naturistNomadNever lost a mirror, but I did have driver's side extension mirror on my TV "readjusted" by a passing pickup. I was as far right as I could go, TT right side wheels were kissing the edge of the ditch. HE, on the other hand, seemed determined to take his half out of the middle.
- Homer1ExplorerI have ticked mirrors with an oncoming truck on a narrow country road that was not supposed to have truck traffic on it. Fortunately it was just a tick and not more. Neither of us stopped. I was able to repair mine, will never know about his.
- Rancher_WillExplorerA couple years ago I lost a right side truck mirror on the two lane road to our ranch. As I drove by a road killed deer off hte right road shoulder, one of three Black Vultures suddenly took off and flew directly against the right side mirror. a Vulture is almost as big as a Turkey. Although my mirrors are fold away type on the Dodge 3500 truck, the vulture gave its life taking the mirror off, leaving it hanging by the elective wires.
