There really is no need for a jack for the trailer.

If your trailer has 2 axles, just pull your good tire (on the side that has the flat) up onto your leveling blocks (for me its three 2 X 8's) and the flat is hanging high enough to change.

If your trailer has 1 axle, more than likely the jack that comes with your truck will be sufficient.

Floor jack will only work properly if the castors can move as the jack is pumped up. Sand, dirt, and most asphalt is to soft. Without the jack castors being able to roll, the jacked vehicle will be pulled horizontally towards you.

As anything you get from Harbor Freight, be sure and try it out a couple of times just as soon as you get it as some parts numbers (for basically the same item) perform better than others. Be sure and hang on to the sales slip.

Both the floor jack and the bottle jack will work, but most carry the bottle to save space. I've used both but find the bottle jack easier. Actually, if you're just changing a tire on the trailer, you don't need a jack at all, just pull the good wheel up on blocks to get the flat tire off the ground. I've done this with my Lynx levelers and it's actually quicker than a jack. Or, you can buy a Tire Aid like the member mentioned above which will do the same thing but is a bit more convenient.

Yes, I was talking for use on the camper. A bottle jack should do the trick but I like that aluminum floor jack DougE. May get one for the shop at home......thanks everyone for your input.
