Homeless people coming to your favorite campground!

I presume they're paying their camping fees so I guess that entitles them to the site and other amenities. Maybe you need to find a place that they can't afford.

Homeless people are showing up in all kinds of places they never have before. Some are fire refugees in California. I blame in on the great economy. Great for the rich, but not so good for the people in the middle and especially at the bottom.

Maybe you should stay in a resort where the lower class will not offend you.

I think I'd be looking for a better place. Just go up the economic scale and you'll be fine.

Keeping homeless people out of a campground is nothing a $50 a night, or a $250 a week, or a $750 a month campground fee wont resolve. If you prefer BLM campgrounds (free for 14 days) or other uncontrolled camping, expect it. All you can do is move elsewhere if/when the campground becomes distasteful to you for any reason.

Your talking Kali, it could be illegal to chase the otherwise homeless out.
Or state/local government could be subsidizing them to get them off the city streets.

I was surprised how this finished. I thought it was going to read... "about 1/2 of the weekday campers are retirees with no street address who flock to the southern climates during the winter."

That said, it wasn't too long ago I was camping in a tent with a clapped out Plymouth, looking unwashed and disheveled, imbibing to the wee hours of the morning, and generally making a nuisance of myself. :B

Yup at 100,000 (rounded sticker price when new) my Motor Home which still works like new and still looks fairly good is actually an "Entry Level".. Oh and legally as a Full Time RVer.. I'm homeless.

I know some beautiful rigs owned by legally homeless people.

Funny story.. I once had a County Sheriff Rep tell me there were no homeless in his county... Recall I'm legally homeless and he was talking to me.. Oh well.

Pay the fees, don’t stay longer than allowed, no littering, keep noise down. Sounds ok to me.

“unkempt & disheveled appearance.” Did you look unkempt and disheveled in the ‘60s?

Not only spending more on rent will help, but so will camping in hard-to-get-to places. Poor people, and thieves, generally don't bother.
