I hope it works better than most of the cordless tools do. The contractors I have dealt with spend more time swapping batteries than anything. Some refuse to carry corded tools even though most of the sites have power. They must go through many batteries and take forever using their high priced junk. I had one throw a fit when I handed him a $5 corded drill to finish a job.
So while this would fill a need if you didn't need the batty to do any real work, like my 12v coffee maker it would function in a pinch but I prefer our 12 cup Rival auto drip that cost $6 at Walmart.
There's a place for every tool and sometimes cordless is the way to go. The advent of 18+V lithium was a godsend.
FWIW, I thought you'd have to pry my Makita cordless tools out of my dead hands but when the last pair of batteries went South, along with the charger, I moved on. I now use Rigid brand as each piece, including the batteries, has a lifetime replacement warranty. Their cordless impact tool is a wonder to use (wonder how I ever worked without it, lol).
