Pull Rite customer service

I am posting here because I feel obligated to fill everyone in on my experiences with Pull Rite as a company. First I need to inform everyone that the Pull Rite design and quality is superior to all other products I have used in my 25 + years of RVing. With this said my issue is with the company’s lack of desire to satisfy their customers.
The story begins with my purchase of a 2013 Dodge Ram to replace my 2008 Ram which I had a 16K super glide Pull Rite fifth wheel hitch installed. I contacted Pull Rite to purchase the adaptor kit which I expected to only include the parts needing to be changed or replace to adapt the hitch to my new truck. After contacting Pull Rite and communicating with Mr. Pullman himself I found that they would not sell the parts that I needed outside of a new installation kit. Said kit included much more parts not needing to be replaced on my hitch system. The only parts I needed were the adaptors that attach to the frame and two ends to the rails I already had. Instead of Pull Rite selling me these items they informed me that I would have to pay almost $800.00 for these parts and rails, pins and rail ends that I already had. I am a very dissatisfied customer and although Pull Rite makes a great product will never purchase another of their products.
Customer retention/service should be first and foremost in a sales company’s overall agenda. A satisfied customer’s value is new customer’s something Pull Rite has decided is not important to them. So heads up to those of you Pull Rite owners that want to upgrade to a new truck and don’t expect to pay a lot for this kit. SURPRISE!!!

Good point - we have all jumped to the conclusion he is referring to a fiver hitch. His post sure reads that way.
Maybe the mods could move this thread outa the dinghy forum?

I'm curious if Curt or B&W would have sold the individual parts?

I was in the same boat and Pull Rite sold me the needed no drill brackets and associated hardware but it was an identified kit. It sounds like they don't kit what you need and they will not sale piece parts.
  • I was as shocked as you are about Pull rites customer service. The funny thing is I still have the parts list from my original 16K Super glide purchase. I was able to compare line items and the parts are identical. I thought something probably changed so I measured each part. Identical! Anyway I am loosing the focus. I just want everyone to understand the situation and Pull Rite’s response. The reason for for a new adaptor kit in the first place is because of the DEF system that is now required for all Diesels. Happy Holidays.

  • I think there may be more to the story also. I have had excellent service from the. Maybe they didn't feel safe selling some parts of the kit.

X2 - never had anything but good experiences with Pull-Rite service.
There has to be more to this story.

That is a shame that they will not help you out , are you sure that there is not anything that they are missing from the story that would cause that response ?

    Good Luck - Joe
