RV garden - concerns about moving pests?
My wife and I are talking about traveling for a few months at a time once it's warmer. One such itinerary would be starting in MD, going south to Florida, over to Alabama, north to Indiana and back to Maryland via Pennsylvania. For the first part of the trip, we would move every 1-2 weeks but then it would pickup to staying at most at a spot for 2-3 days.
She has indicated that she would like to have a garden while we do it. (Yes, I know the easier option is to just find a farmer's market.)
I think I can figure out the "how" for the garden- longest story shortest, container gardening with the plants living outside while we're at parks and inside in the shower or covered in the truck bed while we're moving from place to place.
So now my question- I know with firewood, there's the strongly preached "don't move firewood!" My conscience is telling me that moving these potted plants long distances just seems like it's a prime suspect for spreading insects from one area to the next.
Thoughts?
