Touring the whole USA and Canada in a Class-B Camper

"best" is really subjective. if time is not an issue then take your time and do some research into what interests you before moving into a new area.

What kind of camping opportunities do you want? Paid RV parks, paid public camping, free camping, boondocking in remote areas? All of it? Best I could do is point you to some travel blogs of people with similar interest.

Other than that consider the weather. North during summer, south during winter.

Yep, it's what you like.

Not too far back a couple from the Middle East bought a rig and toured somewhat as you want to do.

They took about 5 summers (ah May through Octoberish) to visit around Canada. They ask about each section a winter ahead of time. & each fall, they had found a place to park their rig for the winter.

So, by the time they started out they had asked here and they had requested info on the next section of the country. That way, they were able to go into each section of the country in fair detail, much more detail than many of us can afford.

Biggest thing I would suggest is get each visitors guide and provincial map from each province. Go to: www.google.ca and use "name of province & tourism" to get those provincial websites.

Washington DC - free museums and history
San Diego - wonderful weather year round
Saint Louis - lots of stuff to do
Las Vegas - have to visit at least once

2. forests
Ocala in Florida - beautiful springs, good place for winter
Gila in New Mexico - lots of good boondocking
San Juan in Colorado - gorgeous scenery and good boondocking

3. lakes
Crater Lake
Lake Mead
Lake Powell

4. national parks
Yellowstone
Yosemite
Olympic

5. rivers
kind of depends on what you want to do - white water rafting, kayaking, fishing?

6. desert
Quartzsite - have to visit at least once
Death Valley

Really anywhere that you travel will have interesting things to do and see. All national parks are worth visit. Most big cities have something that makes them unique. As other people have suggested do a little research into what you like to do and you'll find all kinds of places to visit. Have a good trip!
