03 hurricane 30q window rattle

New to this forum, so thank you in advance for any help and suggestions you have.

We just bought our first RV this last week and had a 3 hour drive home, the windows rattle like crazy. Is there a fix for this? I thought about putting something in the track of the window frames but think that it will leak if do that. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Merle
  • I fixed one earlier this year by putting a thin plastic shim between the frame and the glass. I made the ship out of a disposable putty knife. Once it was shimmed, I sealed the window with silicon. That was a permanent window that not been installed correctly and the leak was between the glass and frame. If it's not the glass that's loose, I wouldn't try this method.
  • Which windows are rattling? All of them ? I have a 2000 and have not experienced any windows rattle. That is not to say that there is no noise. My driver side screen will rattle from time to time but once I push it into place the noise abates. The pull down shade on the window behind the barrel chair will rattle a bit, as will the screen door. Make sure the windows are tightly closed and locked.

Perhaps you could wedge something between the glass and the track while traveling and remove it while camping.
