50 AMP power from a generator?

I need to get 50 AMP power from a generator. I’d prefer to go with a Yamaha Inverter EF6300iSDE for all the typical reasons, which is rated at 45.8 amps /52.5 amps @120V. But of course that’s based on splitting the load between the 30 AMP outlet and the 20 AMP outlet. Based on a lot of research, I’m convinced the common RV Electrical Cheater Box is not going to work. I assume the JTB Power Solution will work. First question, is that a good assumption (I know, I should just call them). But the bigger question is, is this really the only valid solution? We do a fair amount of dry camping in the heat and per the wife, we need to be able to run both AC units. :)

    You need a 240v genset to run 50 amp service on both sides. If you want *full*power you need in excess of a 10,000w genset.

    50a is really 12kW but the Yamaha should run two air conditioners.
    I think you will want to use the 120/240v outlet with a proper adapter.

    The new Magnum inverter will combine power with a generator to provide start surge or run the microwave etc as needed and then recharge battery when temporary high loads drop off.

    But when you look at the generator, it has one typical 30 AMP female plug and two typical 20 AMP plugs.

    Just do the math - 45.8 amps @ 120V = 5496 watts, the entire output of the generator. Same at 240 - 22.9 amps @ 240 = 5496 watts. That is for a 240V load, or 22.9 amps per leg if you are feeding the RV's 120V loads.

    If you look at the photo on the Gallery page of the linked site, they show a 4 pole 120/240 receptacle.

    So, I guess what I am hearing is when I plug my RV into a 50 AMP outlet at an RV park, I'm plugging into 50 amps at 220/240v, not 50 amps at 120v, huh (which is what I had thought)? Assuming so, that clarifies my confusion. So I really need a 10,000w genset??? That's the only way to run both of my AC units?
