So, After looking I have a TON of space under my converter/charger on my passport 2920BH. After looking at the 12v distrobution chart for the fuses it looked like I had quite a few open blocks to tap off of to add a 600W inverter on a short run mounted directly below the converter/charger on the knock out panel. PIC Much to my suprise when i took the panel open every block looks wired? Where are these going? are they just spare wires running around? They are not labeled as to what they are going to? I could just tap into the hot and not in here and add it's own fuse and bypass this panel but I think the install would be cleaner using this panel. What/where are these spares going to?

Inverters usually get connected very close to the battery with fat wire.Your inverter is capable of pulling 600/12= 50a, which is a lot for a 12v panel. (I don't think those are 51w fuses...lol) With surging for motors, could go higher than that.What are you running with the inverter?

For 600 watts you want to use that connector on the lower left grouped with the black wire for your positive connection. Connect the negative at the ground bus.

Nothing like a hairdryer or things like that.

As for the remaining fuses, if you want to find out what they control, pull them out and see what doesn't work. I don't see the water pump, water heater, or exhaust fans listed, among other things. It's also possible that the wires simply go to a connector or bus bar at the back of the power center and are not wired further than that and are truly unused.

I've got my 2000w inverter mounted about so that I need 4' of #0 (2/0) cable to get to my battery bank. The only way that I could have gone with shorter cables is to put the inverter in the same compartment as the batteries, which runs contrary to all safety recommendations.

That small 600 watt inverter can draw 60 amps continuous and probably double that for surge values. Much better to have the inverter as close as humanly possible to the battery bank without being in the same compartment.

Since I'm only putting in a 600w inverter I won't be running additional wires. Way too big of a hassle with a sealed underbelly like mine for a small 600W inverter.

You definitely would be better off connecting your POWER INVERTER near the battery bank for best performance. Power Inverters are very battery hungary...

You 12VDC Fuse Panel is providing 12VDC to 11 separate fused circuits. They add up pretty quick.

Here is a 30A Power Distribution setup for a typical trailer...

Keep the 12VDC leads heavy gauge and short as possible with protection fuse and the resulting 120VAC being generated can go anywhere throughout your trailer withoout any loses...

Although 600WATTs is not a real big load I would want to feed that with a large gauge cable. I feed mine with a 4AWG cable and fuse block setup.

I also would install a PURE SINE 600WATT power Inverter so that you would never have to worry about blowing up some appliance that is not designed to work on modified sine wave power. Anything Electronic with transformers/switching circuits or Appliances with AC motors (like FANS - Mixers etc) is prone to resulting failures when NOT using PURE SINE WAVE power. This includes electronics charging power units or electronic controllers... Check out the AIMS 600WATT PSW INVERTER on AMAZON for $159... Great buy...

In my case I was holding the 120VAC plug for an small wattage electric blanker to plug into a MSW Power Inverter and the Controller for the electric blanket went up in blue smoke knowing what was going to happen before I plugged it in haha...

Some folks get away it but I am not going to chance it for my high dollar items... I am not going to plug my $250 HDTV into one haha...

Yea location is not going to change and I won't be running a separate run for this. I am well aware what the 40 AMp fuses are (1 is main and 1 is RP) I was planning on using one of the 15amp lugs but it sounds like direct to the main DC in lugs with it's own fuse is better for some reason.

Wasn't looking for an armchair QB of my plan but merely help trying to identify what all the remaining unlabeled lugs are going to.

thanks for the chart but it looks like almost everything on there is covered by the labeled fuses.

Ok.. even tv/receivers can pull more amps than you think.
