Furnace problem

Hey guys,

sometimes my furnace wont heat, it push room temp air for 30 sec or so and then it stop blowing.

when it stops my 2 fans for blowing hot air into the basement for heating tanks dont stop by themselves, i gotta turn off the thermostat. usually when furnace stop they stops.

is there some kind of safety feature that prevent funrace from heating when the batteries are getting too low ?.

i noticed its only happning to me when im boondocking and getting low batt.

my furnace is a Suburban and my camper an AF1140
thx for your help.
  • Your furnace rely's totaly on a 12v supply. When it gets around 11v the fan can slow down to the point it no longer activates the sail switch which sends a signal to the gas valve that the fan is blowing and it's safe to fire the burner. Also a low battery will cause issues with the circuit board on your refrigerator in the same way. The only way to correct this is to keep your battery charged, either a generator, solar, or plug in your truck and run for a good while.
  • If the batteries get low, the fan will not spin fast enough to close and keep closed the sail switch.
