Solid state lithium batteries for vehicles and storage?

Question

This article (see link below) seems to say that there are? will be? great advances in solid state lithium batteries, very soon. I don't know whether this is just speculation or whether these folks know what they are talking about.

I wonder whether this new type of battery will be more tolerant of below-freezing temps than current lithium batteries are? (No pun intended.)

Interesting.. And I do agree with the question about cold weather recharge (Can it be done)
By the way up to a point cold weather recharge of existing batteries is possible a well.. but it's more costly than warm weather recharging.
Why.. First you use the charger power to warm the battery via a good old electric heater.. Then you charge it.

Toyota and Panasonic have been working jointly on solid state batteries for several years now.....still not ready for prime time.

In the meantime, my wet cell and AGM batteries are doing just fine and including long term storage with batt disconnect.  They do well in cold weather camping with close monitoring. Cheers
