Will a honda eu2000i power a 9 Amp Wayne PLS100 water pump?

Hello people.

I pump treated colorado stream water to a shower holding tank when boon docking and had lift problems with the little giant 110v 1/10 HP pump I have and would like to replace it.

Would my eu2000i power the Wayne PLS100 Utility/Sprinkler pump? It says it draws 8.5 amps, but I cant find startup amps.

Thanks!

A couple of comments on amazon sounds like its marginal..

"I supply this pump with a 1500 Watt continuous 12VDC inverter, which can supply 3000W peak. The pump uses about 975 Watts while running steady but exceeds the 3000W peak power of the inverter when starting with a 50 ft long 3/4" garden hose full of water attached. When the hose is empty or detached, the pump can start. If I had it to do over, I would supply the pump with a 3000W continuous inverter. see less"

And..

"This little pump has worked well for me. I have put about 50 hours use in it and it has only shut down once due to overheat using over 100 feet of extension cord. It will run two impulse (50ft. radius) sprinklers from my 2000 watt Honda generator. Three sprinklers only shoot about 40-45 ft. Switch is handy. I might should even give it five stars, but the handle (also handy) bolts vibrated out.

And

"I rewind motors for a living and I always get guys trying to start motors with generators. What they don't seem to get is the start up amperage of a motor is way more than the run amperage. This usually leads to under voltage during start up and either kicking off the overload, popping the start capacitor or toasting the start winding. Trying to start 1hp motor of any brand on a 12 amp generator is just stupid. The motor will need about 20 for start up alone without any load on it. "
