Altitude affects all normally aspirated engines in the same way. Fuel to air ratios typically want to be roughly 14:1. With less air density at higher altitudes, the engines run rich (too much fuel for the amount of air available). Rejetting the carburetor with smaller jets can keep this ratio in the proper range but even if done so, the general rule of thumb is that there is a 3% loss in horsepower for every 1000 feet above sea level. The effects become more noticeable once you exceed 3,000 feet. If the engine is not jetted correctly for the specific altitude, this loss increases. Note: modern fuel injected engines automatically compensate for variations in air density and atmospheric pressure and maintain the correct fuel to air ratio. However, that being the case, they are still subject to the same 3% per 1000 feet loss.

My honda 2K runs my small AC on my AF 990, maybe this one will runs ours. From what I read the altitude makes a difference, but I am mostly under 4K' to sea level

I run my 9,000 on my Yamaha 2000 on eco setting with no problem.

Yup did it for years on my lance 881.
Just make sure the fridge stays on lp.

That's an amazing price since I see them for $400-$500. The problem with the cheapos is that they don't really handle the wattage they claim. Maybe yours will. The usual problem isn't running a/c, it's starting it.

I would think elevation would make a big difference.

Have tried it yet but rated at 59dB. It is definitely an inverter unit. Regularly $349. Google Pulsar 2000i. They're all coming out with a 2200i now, including Honda.

I doubt it if it is a Yamaha clone. At least, my wife’s uncle’s wouldn’t run mine. You could try switching from fan to AC and see if that allows it to start. Do make sure everything is off and the converter is unplugged as well.
