- FLY_4_FUNExplorerI did a similar project only added the USB/cigarette lighter out in a storage compartment. It seemed we always needed somewhere to charge cell phones or run a portable air compressor. I think manufacturers should consider making more of these ports a feature.
Daryll - westendExplorerNice work, well done.
I have a few 12V boxes I installed when I redid the wiring in my starcraft. I need to decide on a standard connector for the 12V. Also, isn't it good to have 5V USB ports for charging phones? I would assume a small bucking board inside my boxes would accomplish that. - ChakaraExplorerI going to change out the existing USB ports for 12 V lighter style ports. That will allow me to change the charger as tech changes to faster charging or other types of connections. USB-C is one example.
-Chak - KM_RollingExplorerNice work.
I added similar to our trailer. Really made things much easier for charging. - rbpruExplorer IIWell have a 2010 TT with only one 12 volt port, inside a cabinet on the antenna booster. We get along quite well with a 120 volt receptacle on each side of the bed and a 120 volt receptacle with a six plug power strip at the dinning room table. That gives up 11 outlets to plug our devises into. It has never been an issue.
USB ports may be handy but I would settle for a few more 12 volt taps. - BobboExplorer IIDuplicate posting. Here is the other:
