Found this on TMC. 2020 stats. My guess is the both the Cybertruck and the Rivian will both be high on the list. Looks like Cybertruck will be built in Texas. Rivian has a facility in Illionois but has not announced where the truck will be built.
One thing to keep in mind is that Tesla exports a lot of vehicles too. I am fine with importing some parts as long as the trade is balanced. I suspect that Tesla is doing more than any other auto maker to balance our trade deficit.
They are also taking more subsidies than any other U.S. auto maker.....
Iโm not up on the subsidies thing. What kind of subsidies do they get?
$7500 per car from the feds. Variable from from each state. I believe that subsidy is for 200,000 cars per year.

So where are all the parts of the vehicles made? Assembling is one thing. Assembling parts made outside of the United States doesn't really scream "Made in America" to me. It screams "Assembled in America". I'd like to know the percentage of parts that are made in america and then assembled in America for each car and truck.
Well havenโt looked at the shocks on our 2016 Ram yet, but the OEMs on the 2001 were made in Brazil.

Does'nt make any difference today. In fact some of the manufacturing, the dirty part may be better if done off shore.
We are in a much better position than we would be if all vehicles were 100%built in the country of their nameplate.
Where would we be if Honda,Volkswagon, BMW returned all their manufacturing to country of origin.
The beauty of "assembled" here is not the number of jobs in a particular plant. It is the ancillary and associated businesses that the plant supports. Maybe Airgas had to put n two extra trucks to support the plant, maybe Sally can employ 7 people at her diner, Maybe the local car dealers can sell several hundred cars to the factory workers with the Japanese paycheck in their pocket.
We are in a global economy and barring a world war or planetary disaster we always will be. So quitcherbitchin and appreciate what we do have.

If an OEM imports an incomplete alternator, it's missing say something like a ground wire and screw, and that is installed in NA, the cost of the whole product is considered NA content.
