Don't the slides have a manual way of getting them out?? I wouldn't want a unit without a manual way to retract or extend the slide.
Can't image that happening while hours away from home or have it stuck out when I need to get home and go to work. That was my fear with a Pop Up, a failed lift system where the camper can't be setup or be put away for travel.
Well, the slide manufacturer does provide a manual way to move the slides with a drive connection that you can operate with a cordless drill. Problem is that it requires the gears in the gearbox to be intact. It's just for if the motor fails.
Every motor operated slide I've ever had still required the gears to be intact. However, most of them can be pushed in and out once the motor is disconnected. I never had a hydraulic slide so don't know anything about them.
