- rbpruExplorer IIWhen our TT set in the yard for a few weeks, it starts killing the grass and settling into the ground. When we store it for several months we drive it up on 2x 10 lumber.
Moving from one grass CG to another grass CG has not been a problem. Often there was not much grass left on the camp spot. - MackinawManExplorerWe've never actually camped on grass, but I would imagine it would be fine.
We store our TT in our backyard during the spring/summer/fall months and it sits just fine. We do put 2x6's planks under the wheels, but that's it. - valhalla360NavigatorAs long as it isn't soft mud under the grass, not much of an issue.
- scbwrExplorer III've had tires slip on really wet grass when trying to pull out. That's another time that having 4 wheel drive helped.
- BB_TXNomadGrass sites can vary a lot. I have seen some on hard packed soil that were fine even with significant rain. I have seen others that quickly got very soft with not much rain. And even within the same campground.
Nothing wrong with grass in itself, it is the soil underneath to be concerned about. - K_CharlesExplorerAt home it sets on the grass, sometimes for a month, when it gets real hot it starts to kill the grass.
- rv2goExplorer III have been parked on grass for the last 2 months. 4 different CG's in Florida.
- TerryallanExplorer IIWon't hurt it a bit. Did it for years, and years
- korbeExplorerIf I was to park on grass for a while, I would probably put some boards under the tires.
- pira114Explorer IINot that I've seen except when it's kept too wet. That'll make ya sink a bit
