RV Propane outside quick connect
I have a new to me 2007 Nash 27E that has a propane quick connect on the front outside of the trailer. I have not owned a trailer with one of these before and the manuals that came with the trailer (used) do not talk about the quick connect.
It looks fairly simple and I have used propane quick connects before. I bought a quick connect cable on Amazon with a 3/4" flare fitting to connect to my Camp Chef stove.
Camp Chef makes an "official" one here, which I would have gladly purchased even at the cost if it was in stock anywhere, but it wasn't.

So I did a little research on the sizes and purchased what seemed like an equivalent hose with the same sized fittings:

The Flame King hose hooks into the quick connect port with no problems, it even screws onto my Camp Chef stove tightly.
The problem is when I hook the Camp Chef stove up with this hose and turn the gas on at the quick connect. Gas appears to come out from EVERYWHERE on the stove, which is quite scary. It comes out rapidly if the stove gas burners are turned on, off or anywhere in between. It's like there is a leak everywhere on the stove. I checked the tightness of the connector and it is as tight as it will go.
I tested the stove with the included regulator and hose with a 20lb propane tank and it works fine.
It is as if the quick connect fitting on my travel trailer still has high pressure propane in it.
Anyone have any ideas? I have not seen a quick connect fitting that still has a regulator on it, so I am kind of stumped.
